OT: The News Thread

Glad that I am not the only one that thinks that we are maybe not an asshole for wanting as many Cat 4 and 5 Hurricanes to hit the Southern United States until they realize that Climate Change is real and that there are steps to be taken to mitigate some of the damage.

I believe that until it totally smacks them in the face - how many "storm of the century" storms go by until they have to acknowledge it?

Or maybe I am an asshole.

PS. I don't want to see people lose their lives over these storms (one is too many), just State Governments going bankrupt or something

If I had any faith that data deniers won't just make up more shit like "the jooos and the deep state can control hurricanes now!!", I'd also be cool with them getting smacked around a bit in a "a small bit of pain now to avoid the extinction of the species later" kind of way.

But as the old saying goes, no one has ever gone broke overestimating the stupidity of people, so here we are.
