OT: The Official Toronto Raptors Thread

You could tell there was some shady shit going on with the way Masai kept talking about Kawhi's camp in his post-season presser.

Would be kind of awesome if they invalidated the contract and he ended up back here.
It would be. But I assume the PA would fight that massively. Thinking it would be a huge fine to both team and player. And lost draft picks in the process even tho the clippers barely have any to lose.

Contract invalidation is written into the CBA though. They may fight it, but if the infraction is bad enough (and the Athletic article sure makes it seem like it's possible), I don't think the PA would be able to do too much with it.

So what, they would invalidate the contract. Couldn't he theoretically just re-work the contract and stay there? Or are you insinuating they would block the Clippers from having him in the first place?

They did it to the Lakers in the Chris paul trade

Sure but that was done shortly after the trade was consummated. This would be halfway through a season and it sounds like the NBA investigated the claims against his uncle and found there was no evidence that the Clippers conceded to his demands.

Ibaka starts --->》huge deficit

Boucher comes in --> we catch up
