OT: The Official Toronto Raptors Thread

Knicks offense short circuiting in the 4th.

They're going to have a similar problem to what we have. Brunson is a good offensive player but not a great one, and Randle runs as hot/cold as anyone in the league. After that they just don't have guys who can create shots anymore because they just traded them. They have guys who can shoot/space so they're fundamentally different than the Raptors were offensively, but I still think any team with OG taking the 3rd most shots better have 2 big dick bucket getters as the 1-2 if they're ever going to be able to score their way out of any problems at all.

This Knicks team can defend the fucking ball though.

OG looked more engaged today on D than he has over the last 5-6 weeks with the raptors.

Hopefully he just gets his bag now and then embraces what he is.

That's all of his highlights/buckets from today

17 points, 1 dime on...and I counted...2 dribbles.

2 dribbles, great defence, efficient spacing/scoring. The OG experience. Hopefully him getting his bag will help him settle into just being that. He's the best 3&D wing in the league right now imo, but it's all he is.

I’m actually excited for this chapter. As much as I’ll miss OG but if he gets close to max. No thanks. Not unless you are contending every year of that deal

Yup. I do buy that he always wanted to be more here though, and I get it. Why settle in as a role player who might get 4/100 or similar when you can push for a bigger role because you've got your eye on 4/140-160? He's built up enough reputation around the league (and the cap has inflated enough) that 4/130ish is probably the starting point for his next contract. He gets to just focus on being a super premium role player for a playoff team with ECF asipirations, get his bag (Knicks or Sixers are the most likely imo) and just be OG on a good team for the rest of his prime without ever worrying about dribbling a basketball again.
