OT: The Official Toronto Raptors Thread

what a game.

was weird cuz it was a tight game up until Brunson got taken out on his 4th foul....and then suddenly the knicks went on a huge run as soon as he went out and looked like they put the game away.

and then Nesmith went HAM for one of the funnest comebacks ever.

that choke gif is gonna last.

It's crazy that every bad decision, bounce, etc that the Knicks were benefitting from in the Celtics series, completely flipped with like 6 minutes left in the 4th. So many unforced turnovers, Brunson buckled almost every time someone touched him, every 50/50 ball seemed to barely hit a Knick before going out of bounds. Wild.

The current rumbling is that Pelley sees the Ingram trade as the end of the rebuild and there are "higher" expectations for this upcoming year.

A few of the Raptors beat guys have said that they wouldn't be surprised if Masai made another trade over the summer to turn 2-3 assets into a better asset. RJ+Dick for a better shooting guard has been floated, etc.

Who do you think would fit that mould?

Plausibly?

Devin Booker, Zach Lavine, Bane

It's a fairly short list. SG has become a much different position than it was 10 yrs ago, there really aren't a lot of top SG's out there anymore. The "lead guard" has kind of taken over the role the SG used to play. RJ is already a top ~10 SG by the offensive metrics. If his D was even average plus we wouldn't be having this conversation.

Actually might make more sense to target a 3&D type SG instead given the rest of the roster composition. Cason Wallace, Keon Ellis, Derrick White if Boston is blowing that up and retooling, etc.
