I mean, 31-32 yr old Norm Powell in a starting role, with the same shot diet and efficiency that he had for us when he was here appears to be as good of a scorer as Ingram. We just never let him take 16 shots a night or else we probably see this years ago.

I like Ingram, he's exactly what we need and 8 game win streaks the night after a 37 point hard carry is absolutely the right time for crazy hot takes, but yeah he's just a good professional scorer. Not a star level offensive player like we've had in the past.

Fwiw, if I was making a list of guys who played for the Raptors, ranked as scorers (at their Raptors peak only)

1) Vince
2) Kawhi
3) Demar
4) Bosh
5) Pascal

I've hated plenty of raps so the jersey doesn't matter. BI showing up healthy and with a hardhat on converted me.

Jalen Rose is like, "dude, I was the prototype modern wing before it was cool."

Rudy Gay in the corner mumbling, "I was an athletic 6-8 mid-range chucker that averaged 20 points in my day...."

No debate necessary, I knew when I was starting the list that it would last exactly long enough for me to legitimately include Mike James' one very very good season here.

Rose was old by the time he got here and Rudy gay was a shitty volume chucker.
 
Pretty sure i heard a Mike James interview where he referred to himself as a corvette, the engine of the corvette and the keys to start himself.

This i think was post that season when he tried to get paid.
 
I dont think the Wizards are as terrible as normal.

I can squint and see some talent there.

Also, if money works, id be interested in Middleton or CJ

The article is whatever but this paragraph got me thinking, "is Darko a genius that no one recognizes?" Is he changing the game?

oh, the shit posting is definitely part of the fun....but why do I know that I would pick BI to get a bucket over Raptors era Bosh?

Ingram is shooting 33% in the clutch this season,

42.9% in 23-24
57.1% in 22-23
39.0% in 21-22
33% in 20-21
33% in 19-20
44% in 18-19

Raptors era Bosh:

03-04: 47.5%
04-05: 47.6%
05-06: 42.6%
06-07: 45.5% (23rd in clutch ppg)
07-08: 47.1% (8th in clutch ppg)
08-09: 45.8%
09-10: 38.1%

Bosh wasn't an elite closer for volume, but his efficiency was similar in most of those years to elite closers. For example in 08-09, Wade led the NBA in clutch PPG on 47% clutch shooting, Kobe was 3rd in clutch PPG and did it on 45.7%. If you break it down by per 100 possessions, Bosh was the ~15th best clutch player in the league in 08/09. Ingram was a great closer (in 19 clutch opportunities) in 22-23 but hasn't been good overall in his career in clutch minutes.

So yeah, I do know who I'd ask to get a bucket for me if I needed one.

They're also using speed to get into their half court sets, which is novel. They'll move the ball quick up court looking for a break, if it's not there, they'll get the ball deep and then hit the trailers for quasi transition 3's before the D is set.
