OT: The Official Toronto Raptors Thread

Yeah I don't know if I'd call Brunson a robin. He's not an elite Batman but he clearly has a different level of mental toughness that puts him ahead of the guys on his talent tier like Spider, Edwards, Maxey, etc

He's also clearly head and shoulders more important offensively than anyone else on that Knicks team.

The Knicks really are another good argument for why keeping a good group of veterans together is the play as long as you have a Batman.

Fire your coach, and keep firing until someone makes it work. Look at the difference just in moving on from Thibs. Mike only made 3 changes but they were all huge in unlocking this team into a champion. All of them seem like no brainers that Thibs was just too stubborn to implement himself

- Play your fucking bench, you're going to need them. You can't expect them to make an impact in the playoffs when you need them if they spent all season glued to the bench
- In conjunction with that, your starters don't need to be playing 36 minutes a night across the board. Eventually they'll just break down.
- Use KAT more on the ball, the entire offence can't be just watching Brunson dribble for 20 seconds and then forcing up late clock shots

in hindsight not going for KAT when he might have been available was a bad non-move. As if we couldn’t beat that Randle Divincenzo package the Wolves got.

What a run for the Knicks. Such a likeable group.

See, this is that unnecessary hate I've been talking about. So blinded by hatred of a zesty man just out there living his best life in public that he's forced to make up stuff to hate on him with.

Spent the last two incredible comeback games mostly on the bench after seeing his team go down big while on the floor to start.

Led the playoffs in BPM despite playing Embiid-Allen-Wemby in 3 straight series.

and what did I tell you about making things up? KAT was a +17 (2nd highest Knick was a +11) in the game that was the greatest comeback in NBA finals history.

Just live and let live bro.

You know that they only show the one decimal point but that more decimals exist after it right...

That's why this, looks like this:

and saying that OG (pbuh) had more defensive responsibility in a playoff run where KAT's covers included Embiid and Wemby is a wild ass statement. OG locked the fuck out of Fox in the finals...but that's Fox bro. The best player OG dealt with this entire run was either Jalen Johnson or Harden, which isn't light work, but it's not the usage you're suggesting. Bridges was the main PoA defender against Spyder and Maxey.

Give KAT his flowers man. Hyper efficient offensively, rebounded like a beast, excellent secondary playmaking, higher USG rate than OG and the Knicks went 8-1 with him winning the nerdies matchups against Embiid and Wemby.

Give the man his flowers, stop being a hater.
