- Lebron will have to age about as gracefully to be worth the deal. Fwiw, 5-6 BPM is generally somewhere in the 10th-15th overall range most years. Lebron was 5th at 7.7 last season.

I mean, yes, it's a lot of bank, no arguments.

But it's what they're worth imo. NBA is making money hand over fist, and it's because of their successful marketing built specifically around elite players like Lebron.

They can obviously afford it and are willing to pay it.

Just from the player's perspective, to be guaranteed almost $50M per year. It is such a massive sum that it almost defies comprehension. And then put that into context with Musk's $280B net worth or whatever it is. Just monopoly money and literally they can buy the whole board.
