OT: The Official Toronto Raptors Thread

Maluach should be gone well before 9 but……….

I keep seeing him drop to us in mocks though. It kind of makes sense for those teams ahead of us to pass on him as well.

5 - Utah: They have Kessler already who does the same thing
6 - Washington: Picked Sarr last year, who I guess you could try to turn into an Evan Mobleyish 4, but at 7'1 he's too big to not try to turn into a 5
7 - NOP: They need everything, so year sure, but Missi is a good 2 way rim runner prospect and they got him last year. BPA and all but they need everything and there's some good guard and wing prospects available at the 7.
8 - Brooklyn: Not a patient organization, and they already have Claxton signed for money to play the C, as well as Day'ron Sharpe as an above average backup.

he gonna plummet. deservedly so

There's no chance he gets past Washington imo. I can see Charlotte passing on him because he's basically Brandon Miller, and Utah passing because Danny Ainge is smart but Washington will look at him and swing on the upside. There is no world where Kon Kneuppel or Jeremiah Fears are program changers. There is a world where you unlock Bailey and he becomes one.

Sharife Cooper’s dad (Omar)…believe Ace is his only client or only “big name”.

My only guess here that seems rational is that they already have a promise from Utah or Washington so are cool with playing hardball on Philly, and are fine with the difference in money if Philly passes on him over this.

Or if they ruin Ainge's day and take Tre at the 3 spot and call it a day.

Putting the best shooter in the draft next to Maxey might make for a hell of a dynamic guard duo to rebuild around.

My theory re: Bailey. He is not as good as the hype suggests, so they are hiding him hoping the intrigue gets him picked high. He might fall though because they are hiding. A catch 22 if you will.
