OT: The Official Toronto Raptors Thread

White would be such a perfect fit.

please happen.

Poeltl
Barnes
Ingram
White
Quickley

A lot is riding on Ingram being a legit #1 option - but he'd be surrounded by 4 versatile two-way players who can all score too, albeit with limitations, and Ingram would be allowed to concentrate on the one thing he's good at.

Team needs a game breaker and mid range shooter and slasher ... BI is da man

Above all team needs health and more health

If we were talking Brown for RJ and the 9 straight up or something...sure. But yeah, he's not a max player making big max dollars.
Is Brown, Barnes, Quickly, Ingram, Puddle and whatever kids we have leftover from getting Brown a contender?

I dunno, i dont think so. Barnes would have to get his Batman cape in a hurry cause Brown is a super max Robin

If there's a real upgrade (like White) available for something in the range of RJ + 9, let's go. If not, I'm entirely entirely good with taking BPA at the 9, hitting free agency to pick up a few vets that can help even the bench out so we don't get murdered when the starters are sitting and taking another look at our needs by the deadline. If this team does what it should (look much better than previous iterations, win 45+ games, etc) everyone will be worth more in trade next summer and we'll have a better idea of who we should be moving on from.

I would be making my mind up on Darko this year too.

I have no idea if he's any good, but he has a roster now

Tonight might be nuts.

- Windy says there there are multiple teams in the top 10 trying to make deals for either Brown or White. I'm going to bet that we've offered RJ + 9, and that Brooklyn and Philly are both in on Brown.

- Sacto is shopping Demar around

- Philly actively willing to throw the #3 in to get rid of Paul George.

- Brooklyn and Pelicans both looking to move up....allegedly to get Ace Bailey, lol

Yeah, it is certainly going to be a wild one tonight. Too bad I have softball at 9:30, but I will be doing a "media blackout" so I can get the "full" experience. Lol

Ingram is a batman offensively. He's an actual shot creator. Much better in that regard than brown. Though Ingram is weak defensively.

Brown has more of a Norm Powell offensive game - lots of 3s, good at driving the basket (at least with one hand). Selfish offensively while surrounded by unselfish teammates so he scored more than he shoiuld tbh - and took more shots than he should. Brown's good defensively tho. but probably not even great there. Honestly Brown was at best the 4th best player on that title team and i'd listen to arguements that Horford was better too.

White was an absolute stud on that team, offensively and defensively, and could easily have scored more but was humble and smart enough to let the tempermental Brown get his shots in instead. White would fit here like a glove, and would share the robin scoring role with scottie and IQ, behind BI.
