OT: The Official Toronto Raptors Thread

Really concerned that we're going to do the same thing to this starting 5 that we did to our last good starting unit and run a bad bench behind them unless a bunch of kids all take pretty big steps forward.

Here's the bench as of right now in order of EPM

Rhoden: -0.7 (10 games)
Ja'kobe: -1.1
Shead: -1.6
Okai: -1.7
Gravy: -2.8
Castleton: -2.9 (11 games)
Mogbo: -3.2
and then 4 rookies

We're pretty much praying for multiple young guys to take steps forward and for CMB to be NBA ready for a role immediately just to have a bad NBA bench.

Just for comparison, this is the Celtics bench from last year:

Pritchard: +1.6
Horford: +1.1
Hauser: +0.4
Kornet: +2.1
Queta: -1.0

and the Cavs:

Jerome: +2.3
Merrill: +0.4
Okoro: -0.1
Hunter: -0.4 (deadline add)
Wade: -0.3
Niang: -1.8

It's super young so probably won't be great (look at a guy like pritchard yr1), but i think jakobe and Shead had a nice upward trajectory in the nerdies through their rookie years. gravy was obviously way overplayed and should be better in an actual bench role (maybe agbaji too). And of course you hope the 9th overall pick is better than any of them.

This is a turnstyle in Dick, and the most offensively inept bench in the league.

In fact with Boucher gone, its worse.
