OT: The Toronto Blue Jays

They need to get Garza. That is the point of rebuilding and stocking the farm system, so you can use it to improve the big club.

Romero
Garza
Morrow
Alvarez
Cecil

@Buster_ESPN:

- Educated guess: The bidding on Yu Darvish was not close. Nobody, including Toronto, was within country miles of the Rangers' $51.7m bid.

- I suspect Jays have watched frenzy over their allegedly rabid interest in Darvish with astonishment. They were in, but not close, I believe.

This is old news. Blair also said we were nowhere close. I thought I posted that already? Sorry if I didn't.

Would we get Garza with Drabek or Snider as a center piece? I don't think so given what teams are getting for young starters so far. I gotta think something like Hutch, McGuire or Drabek and a position player Gose or Marisnick

Gose is untoucahable for these types, and IMO so are Alvarez, and D'Arnaud....anything else i'd be okay with moving i think.

I wonder if Jurrjens would be the best bang for the buck

Thing is, Garza isn't under team control for a significant amount of time, the way guys like Gio or Cahill are, so it's tough to look at the packages they garnered, and deduce what Garza might cost.

Though, his constant bid for silence and giving press conferences essentially nothing are wearing thin with the fanbase.

There needs to be some communication with the fanbase.

lol yeah you're really nit picking here MLBJB.

Think you're reading too much of the crap over at scout imo.

Scout and here are like day and night. It's a good balance actually.

Here it's all homers. Over there it's mainly naysayers.

AA has been a good if not great GM for the Jays in his short time here. He's brought in Rasmus, Escobar, Lawrie, Johnson and Morrow. Also, he locked up Romero and Bautista. There is no doubt he has made this team better. Folks are just disappointed because this offseason hasn't been good.

Many folks believe that a lineup that goes; Escobar, Lawrie, Bautista, Lind, Rasmus, Johnson, JPA, EE and Snider/Thames is only a few pieces away from contending, and perhaps they are right. However, as time goes by its looking more and more like this is a stand pat offseason.
