OT: The Toronto Blue Jays

i was bummed to see that gose isn't playing but it's the right call even if their was a righty on the mound. let him get used to the atmosphere in new york before putting him in to pinch run at some point. start him tomorrow.

I don't like Lawrie in the 3-hole. His lack of power and the general way he's been hitting lately isn't a good fit for the most important spot in the lineup. I would have went with EE in the 3-hole and Lind in the 4th spot. Lawrie, Rasmus, EE, Lind, Escobar, Johnson, JPA, Davis, Gose - should be the lineup with Joey out.

Although, I guess it doesn't really matter at the moment. Losing Bautista is crippling. That and it's Cecil vs. Sabathia - This will likely be a blowout for the Yanks.

Lind can't hit LHP. not a great idea to bat him cleanup vs. CC. even 5th is a stretch. heck, JPA should probably be in there at DH instead.

Great stab by Lawrie. Rushed the throw a bit but Edwin bailed him out. Love Brett's enthusiasm, but he's got to remember ARod don't run like he used to.

Yup. However, i'm assuming because of the way he's be hitting in general lately, you don't want to take his bat out of the game. With that said; i'm sure he'll struggle tonight.

hech has hit .300+ all four months this year. pretty sure same thing last 2 months of last year.

aaa totals: (482 ab's) .334, 25 db, 8 trip, 8 hrs, 70 rbi.

Random though: Swisher looks like a bit of a goofball out there, but you can tell how much he loves playing. It seems like the smile never leaves his face.

Remember in 2010 when Cecil was kind of decent and owned the yankee's like it was no ones business ? Good times.
