Bo doesn't exactly seem like the sort of player who was willing to give up FA years. At least, not for a cheap price. I'm surprised they even agreed to eat up the arb years.

Yep. Completely different philosophy on roster management. Use pre arby and arby years to get the AAV down on 6-10 yr contracts and get them locked in now.
