League is a fucken joke with payrolls approaching 300 mil and others less than 100
Revs averaged $380MM last year. Some markets may be limited potential but winning and top players also increase you're revenue.Cheap owners dont have a 500-600+ million revenue base to blow their brains out

MLB is fucked upThe issue baseball has is the season is too long, as are games. Now you have payrolls where 1 player is making more than an entire roster (Or close). Baseball has big issues. Thankfully the extra WC playoffs have helped small market teams a bit.
former Blue Jay Matt Boyd...Matt Boyd 2/29 to Cubs
Pitching, even mediocre pitching is still expensive.
FIgure the baseline for a Fried is 6/180, and thats for a contender, Burnes 7/210.
I have to assume that is past the Jays walk away number, and the players would prefer better destinations anyways. I also assume one of Severino/Flaherty/Pivetta/Manaea will gladly take the 4 x 25 that is in their comfort zone for a number 3 SP
He's had himself a career and got himself quasi paid. Good for himformer Blue Jay Matt Boyd...
didn't we originally trade him in the Price package? funny how he was a 'throw-in' and ended up being I believe the best pitcher Detroit ended up receiving
and as we all know, once one team makes a higher offer, under no circumstances can another one outbid them
Another couple of these posts and they'll have convinced all of us.
