OT: The Toronto Blue Jays

Even being really conservative and assuming that Ichiro wouldn't have been a stud at 20 in MLB (he had an OPS in Japan almost identical at 20 as he did in his last year at 26, it was his 2nd best of his 7 Japanese seasons...so he was pretty, pretty good at 20) and even just assuming that he would have added 4 years (23-24-25-26) by coming over early, he would have ended up 3rd in MLB hits knocking on the door of 2nd. Add one more year and he's 1st by ~150 hits.

For just pure bat to ball skills, he's maybe the best of all time. Only guy arguably better was Gwynn imo.

2015 by a lot. That felt like a team that could have won the whole thing. Edwin walk off, the crazy inning against Texas w/ batflip. KC just had some weirdo performances from guys like Alcides Escobar and got better pitching. Crazy shit can happen in a 7 game series.
This

People are giving this team all the props, and fair enough, but im seeing some better than 2015 vibes from people, and i want to be like, are you serious? I dont because it makes me the asshole, but that team was better, and i felt better about that team getting to and winning the WS than this one, even though i admit, this team has a decent shot to get there ( and anything can happen in a 7 game baseball series). I do think the NL is much better than the AL this year.

Yup. Even by 2016, shapkins had taken a lot of wind out of our sails

They really should have won the WS. The Royals loss hurts so bad because I can't think of a weaker WS opponent than the Mets team. This team is overachieving. the 2015 team was legit

wouldn't a salary cap that linked payroll to revenues be a good thing for the players? what am I missing here?
Middle class should protest this fucked up CBA

More than half the league make less than a mil

These Barger , Little types who take more time to get to the majors are totally fucked and take too long to secure a bag with service time and arbitration
