OT: The Toronto Blue Jays

I worry about guys figuring him out when they've seen him enough that the arm slot isn't novel anymore, but even then they'll only figure him out to a point because the stuff just flat out fucks by all measure. He was sitting 96 with that fastball last night, which with the rotation and shape of it, it's maybe elite. If not elite, close, even without touching high 90's-100+. If that stays there instead of being 93-94 like was saw a lot of in the playoffs, he's at worst a #2 as long as we can keep his shoulder healthy.
If he can continue develop the slider to a + pitch to go along with the split change and fastball i have very high hopes

Sosa/Schneider are fucking abysmal

Vlad/George struggling

Lukes/Sanchez/Barger/Varsho/Pinango cannot all coexist on a roster.

They need a RHH to do some damage in the worst way.

the hoff comes through!

i'll take the split but really think we shoulda won this series.

in the end it's four very close games - this 2-0 win is the widest margin of victory of the series. Jays outscore the Yanks 14-13 overall.

Anytime you lose the Cease start you feel you deserve more, but looking at our offense i'll tke 2/4 in the Bronx all day.

Were still a mess

Can live with 2/4 against the Rays or Yankees, but the team needs to get into a run where they can sweep the bad teams.

Miles looks like this year's version of Lauer, someone who can eat some innings and be a swingman SP/Bulk guy. That's huge, nice to have behind Cease/Trey/Gaus. Bieber is apparently nearing a rehab stint too, he probably needs the full month, but having him back by the end of June would be another big boost. Scherzer also could be back in a couple weeks too. Although at this stage in his career, I don't think we can really count on the Scherzer/Corbin/Miles trio to basically be the combined 4/5 starters, maybe sometimes you throw all 3 on separate days to give the top trio an extra day off.

Combine that with Kirk and Barger hopefully back in the not too distant future too, and hopefully the team is set for a better next couple months...

Maybe Vladdy getting hot? If he feels like it.
