OT: The Toronto Blue Jays

Gross disaster of a game tonight. Runs galore for them and three shitty singles all game long for us.

The Okamoto homer turned out to be a reverse turning point. An amazing comeback hit that directly led into a complete folding.

Nah. Cease and Soriano will win two of the next five for sure.

Max needs to step up and deliver quality starts. We seem to usually do well in the bullpen games, but not when you're trotting out trash like Lorenzen. Need to stretch out the better guys a bit more. Fisher can go more than just 1.1. Miles too. Have to minimize the trash and just use up the better players even if you overplay them.

There's 10 games left. There's nothing to save anyone for. Play the pitchers to death and just squeeze in and worry about resting them later. Only the best guys should be on the mound in close games. Let Cease go 6 instead of 5 if he's still below 100, etc. Do anything to avoid using these fucking losers like Lorenzen and Spaghetti in any game other than good or bad blowouts.

10 games left, 2 back, and if CLE passes CWS, CWS has the tiebreaker on us.

I think were cooked. Probably need to go 7-3.

I dont think we are that team, the SP, post Cease/Soriano is just so rough and we lost a Cease start to Sacramento, and Soriano to Detroit.

Those two games were absolute killers. Lethal fucking injections to the veins. But I maintain hope that they’ll pull it together and go on a run to close it out.

Clement , Springer , Gimmy, etc.....nobody expected their playoff heroics to come into this season

Springer was an MVP candidate he was never going to repeat

As shit as this offence is the conference is terrible this year ...a gift handed to us

decimated with injuries and team is still in the hunt

Vlad is fucken brutal this year , even a 25/75 season puts us in the playoffs

If this was the National league I get it but not this year in our conference ....all on Vlad
 
It is all on Vladdy.

But losing Yesavage and Bieber and having to rely on these bullpen plugs who have no business being on the team has been murder.

So, if we have regular Vladdy, we are a playoff team. I dont disagree.

But we still aren't good, were just one of the mid teams that gets in a weak as fuck AL, and still arent near TB/NYY

You kind of just need the Vlad thing to take care of itself and hope he finds form, going into the offseason if the plan is to run it back because you're expecting him to rebound

The team needs 3, but at least 2 additional bats

currently, DH, Corner OF, and SS/2B need upgrades

Nah.

Vladdy being Real Vladdy added 30 HRs and made everyone in the lineup more dangerous. And then we lost most of our rotation to injuries all year. Those two things being corrected makes us a very good team. The proof is in the fact that despite the insane injuries and no shows, we’re still competing for a playoff spot down to the wire.
