Nah, a shutdown BP and being able to hit the ball hard everywhere isn't luck. There's some BABIP luck maybe, but you don't get that many hits purely on horseshoes. They are also the best base running team I've ever seen, and they make few mistakes in the field.
Kudos to the Royals, I was almost certain they'd beat the Mets from the start. Should have put money on it. Great team, one of the best all season long and relentless throughout the playoffs. They deserved it.
If Shapiro doesn't say "our goal is to win the World Series next year" a bunch of times, the he's dumber than a tree stump - which I don't think he is.
I have reports that says he has been assigned as "interim GM".
This morning on the radio they said there was some guy from Cleveland that Shapiro has offered to other teams in the past as a GM.... Would laCava be interim until this other guy showed up?? and then LaCava would be AGM?
