OT: The Toronto Blue Jays

This entire Soto thing seems kind of sad for the Jays.

I don't think anyone really believes there's even a marginal shot, and there's enough other teams in the mix, that the Jays just look like an after-thought. At least for Ohtani it seems like the Jays were the team that pushed the price up

Yeah, it seems like their had a legit better shot for Ohtani. I'm not sure why Jays are bothering.
They also now are in a big forced rebuild. This is a disastrous offseason.

Fire Atkins!
Should have happened after the 2023 season.

Now watch them cheap out the rest of the off season and try to spin it like last year.

Amazing how they have 700 plus million to spend on one player the last two years. But no more than 25 million to improve the team. That is bonkers.

Just blow it up.

They were never really interested, considered, or were ever going to sign Juan Soto. It was just a ploy to try to get fan excitement up for ticket sales and quiet the masses from the negativity towards management and the team. Publicity stunt just making it look like they went hunting but we all knew they weren’t going to. I’m doing so, still haven’t signed their star, who I’m sure is insulted and feels slapped in the face and now sees he can just go to the market next year for probably 400+ mill and not deal with moronic management…
