OT: The Toronto Blue Jays

So, if we look at the SP FA class this year, even though it's clearly failed i still understand and am ok with the Scherzer gamble.

I wasnt interested in a big money long term deal for a guy like Flaherty or Pivetta ( might be wrong on the latter) and i dont think Fried or Burnes were in the cards, and on the latter they tried

All of the rest were #5 dudes that never move the needle.

I'm wondering how Zeke feels about these Boston Red Sox uniforms honouring an iconic part of Boston's Fenway Park that happens to be located in the city of Boston Mass.

Boston.

Yeah, you always blame the coach first.

The big questions with them are how consistent will their young core be, and will they get them all clicking together with the payroll to supplement them. Rutschman has really slowed down the last 2 years after his debut. Henderson had one of the quietest 8 WAR seasons in history last year, who knows if they'll ever get that back. Holliday was bad last year in his debut, but better this year. Guys like Cowser and Westburg could be 4 WAR players too.

But we thought that a few years ago with the Jays, when we all looked at Kirk as the next stud option, etc... It's easy to see infinite potential, and for that to get derailed by injuries and by a bunch of guys very quickly going from looking like 4-5 WAR guys down to like 2 WAR guys. And that can tank things, especially if you need a 42 year old pitcher to hang on to a rotation spot.
