OT: The Toronto Blue Jays

This reminds me of the year at the deadline they were for sure going to make one or two more deals before the deadline from all insider reports and then did nothing else and we know the end result. Fuck off? Get them to prove me wrong and I’ll shut up lol

They already added a high leverage pen arm and a SP. Should they do more? Yes, Have hey added no leverage pieces? No, you ignorant reactionary twat

10 yrs of supporting those bitch losers would get to me too, don't worry man. It'll be okay, except it probably won't but if you accept it most of the pain will go away.

Fwiw, trade all of the prospects. But put me in the camp that doesn't like trading for broken pitchers. Bieber has already been shut down once recently in his rehab and it just takes one more little elbow ouchie for this trade to turn out to be Stephen for the concept of Shane Bieber.

Yes, all pitchers are injury risks, but not all pitchers have missed most of the last 2 years and recently been shut down for elbow ouchies while rehabbing a big elbow ouchie.

I've always found Shatkins' risk tolerance to be fucked up. Paying full price for good players is risky, but the same guy 2 years after breaking is a good deal at 25% off for some reason.

Yankees get Bednar for a dogshit return. Jays better get a high velo late inning guy or I’ll be pissed
Yeah I thought Bednar would command a pretty high price. And he’s exactly what the Jays need.

Always difficult to tell what it would have taken to match withe these multiple prospect deals. Pittsburgh’s scouts probably like these particular guys for some reason but on the surface, a weak farm system’s number 8, 10 and 14 prospects (roughly) including two low profile international signings in A-ball and an undrafted free agent from 2022… looks pretty easy to beat.

We’re not getting past teams in the playoffs if we don’t add more. Call me overreacting all you want but you know this team has overachieved to be in a great position to fill their glaring holes, they had a great add in Dominguez but need another guy, especially when you don’t know what Garcia is or If Yariel defaults back. Beiber is excellent. If Beiber doesn’t come back to being Beiber or injured again, then we’re basically back to where we were, as others get more improved. I’m not asking for Suarez and Kwan but a good reliever and a decent bench bat are musts
