OT: What are you Watching/Listening/Drinking?

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! Thank you, Miss Amanda (and Habpatrol 😊)!  Blue helped some of us get through a bunch of the Vietnam war shit that was still raging at the time of its release. Joni was/still is a fave artist of mine and, of course, song about my home state brings back memories and tears of joy! THANK YOU!!! 😁

She's phenomenal. One of my favorites of all time. Definitely my top female artist. Dolly might be the only one that comes close for me.

Mostly agree.

Dolly's alright but not in the same league lyrically IMO. Full credit for what she has achieved though.

Honduran musician Aurelio Martinez, a popular member of the Garifuna music scene, was among the dead, local media reported. According to the Kennedy Center, Martinez founded the Lita Ariran ensemble, one of the first Garifuna groups to be featured on an internationally distributed album.

"Martinez's virtuosic musicianship and passionate performances made him a mainstay of the La Cieba music scene, where he was best loved for his take on punta rock, the high-energy, Garifuna roots-infused pop genre that took Central America by storm in the 1990s," according to the Kennedy Center

A little more on Aurelio - see link below. I haven't been to Central America in a very long time, so things have undoubtedly changed a bit from my perspective. However, the music was one of the many wonderful things that I treasure from my experiences visiting there, which is why this loss hit me so hard. Kid was phenomenal. Plus we shared ancestors. (And I take the affectionate liberty of calling him "kid.")
