OT: What are you Watching/Listening/Drinking?

Ah **** I feel bad. This guy is melting down and firing off fratboy insults now. Shit. He actually took the time to google pictures of a small glass of a particular alcoholic beverage thinking I'm going to get in a bro war about alcoholic tolerance. I'm really sorry. Shit. All it took was one stray troll bullet and this guy is having a crisis. I knew I was good but this shot is eye opening. Sorry guys.

This is like TrollCeption

I still can't tell if you're trolling or not. This is a masterful job. Or not.

Also, alcohol tolerance is a legitimate problem in our society and should never be mocked or taken lightly. Every single one of us should be encouraged to drink in moderation and never succumb to peer pressure or televised beer commercials. Over-drinking to prove a point or to appear tough can lead to serious health problems and poorly thought-out text messages.

Preston, I hope to prevent you from developing any kind of complex about excessive drinking. Always in moderation. Once again, cheers.

Okay yeah that picture made me laugh really hard. If I could get drunk off that I'd be bragging uncontrollably. That would be incredible. Think of all the calories saved. 😍

Nothing more frustrating than drinking to get fucked up and being like eight beers deep on some shit like MGD, bloated and feeling like garbage and barely buzzed. And then waking up the next day feeling like you got hit by a train. Being a 3-4 a week drinker was rough sometimes. I prefer my shotglasses of beaus these days. Fucks me up real good AND no hangover!

My tolerance has gotta be down because I don't drink anywhere near as much, hardly at all the last year or two. Hangovers are the worst and weed is way better. I don't think the wheat in beer does me any favours either, I'd rather drink wine. I do have another Beau's lined up for tonight, however.

And back on topic, has anyone seen the TV show Turn? 4 seasons long, below is a synopsis. I watched the first 4 episodes a couple of years ago and it was really good, think it might be next on my list.

That, and re-visiting a bunch of classic Bond movies. Watched Dr. No last night, pretty damn good for the first attempt.

Turn: Washington's Spies: "a Revolutionary War-era drama based on the same-named Alexander Rose novel. The series goes beyond the battlefront to a conflict involving everyday men and women, taking place in a cryptic world of double agents, covert operations and code-breaking. It revolves around Abe Woodhull, a young farmer torn between loyalty to his Tory background and respect for those who fight for the patriot cause. Living on British-occupied Long Island, Abe joins a group of his childhood friends to form what becomes known as the Culper Ring, a spy network charged with sniffing out British military strategy. Under the direction of Gen. Washington, Abe and his fellow agents help turn the war to the Continentals' favour, and their daring efforts ultimately serve as the foundation for modern espionage."

I had multiple "fuck it we'll do it live" phases where I'd get really into one particular substance during my university days. I was really disciplined with hockey and felt like I had a real shot at some points so none of that vice shit interested me. Until I called it quits of course. Six month period where I'd be going out to get shitfaced 3-4 times a week. Hangovers got worse, tolerance got higher and it eventually just became a chore that grinded me down. There was a three year period where I was a daily weed smoker, multiple times a day, the whole deal. Started off great but eventually the highs got worse no matter which strain I went to. Also slowly made me lazy and unproductive which is the worst possible side effect for any drug... and considering I quit hockey mainly because I was a good student, it was counterintuitive. So that was the end of that.

A decade later I'll still drink from time to time but now it's to enjoy the flavor. One beer while cooking (or a glass of wine) is one of life's beautiful simple pleasures.

I’ve seen it. It’s quality through every season.

Canopy bevvy officially for sale on the OCS. Tweed houndstooth and soda. Comparable price to a tall boy probably gets you similarly fucked up as a tall boy, if not a bit more. Experienced fellas may need 4-6, others like me would be just fine with one.

Flavor is boring but 3 calories for those watching their figure.

One of you has to test it out.

Just ordered 10. Will see how it does on the weekend (edibles last too long for weekdays)

I watched most of the first season when it first came out. I can’t recall why we didn’t finish it. I think we got a new digital box and forgot it to start recordings again. Thanks for the suggestion. Nice to revisit.
