OT: What are you Watching/Listening/Drinking?

Jam Up the Mash is likely going to be disappointing by Collective Arts' standards. It's fine, but not as good as their other stuff.

If you're digging the sours, Jelly King is awesome.

Also, if you can get anything from Burdock, I strongly recommend it. And Halo brewery too. Both are kinda west-end ish and small so dunno how accessible they are. I really liked Halo's stuff when I was in the hood.

Collective Arts are good but not great, imo.

If you ever see anything from Phillips Brewery, grab it. Hard to get these days. LCBO was carrying their Amnesiac a few years ago. I drove around cleaning out the supply.

This is going to be an expensive hobby. I'm too overwhelmed. I'm just going to allow zeke to direct me because I can't process all of this information at once.

Zeke. I am your slave. You tell me my next move.

I'll put their strong IPAs against anyone's tbh. And so few duds in the mix too.

That being said my absolute favorite canadian strong IPA is Fat Tug by Driftwood out in BC. Just a gorgeous beer.

I haven't tried their strong IPA. Bought some when they first came on the market. I'll check it out.

Yes, Fat Tug rules but I guarantee you'll like Amnesiac even better, if they ever bring it back.

Just ran out to the LCBO after my post about Phillips. They have a bunch of their Electric Unicorn at my local shop. Pro tip: if it's raining, do your shopping. No line at all.

I've done the initial expeditionary work and Eletric Unicorn is awesome. Not quite as awesome as the Amnesiac, but go buy some.

Led Zeppelin re-united for a one-off show in London back in 2007. They've got a "Global Watch Party" starting Saturday at 3:00pm EST where the concert will be free to view on YouTube for 72 hours.

Also just tried a Jam up the Mash from Collective Arts. Pretty tart and citrusy (grapefruit/pineapple flavour), liked it quite a bit.

And I've been on a Pink Floyd kick lately, the full Pulse concert's on YouTube, cool show and it sounds pretty good with headphones.

I literally watched that two days ago. Been on a Floyd kick myself. Watching documentaries and live performances. Good stuff.

never got to see them together, but I have seen Gilmour and Watters separately. Got a ticket for the latter's postponed July show here, waiting to see what happens there.

I've been trying to figure out what happened to Syd Barrett. By most accounts he was a creative guy with lots of charisma (though eccentric and odd), but also probably a schizophrenic who did way too much LSD. There are accounts suggesting his "friends" were spiking his drinks with more acid during a crazy week of partying and it seems to have fried his brain. Very sad.

He wrote this solo song about a year or two later, the lyrics and vocals are heartbreaking.

when I lived out west, Phillips was one of my go tos. find that LCBO only ever carried their worst beers though tbh. Phillips knows how to make a damn good dry hopped IPA. can't get any of them out here though.

if any of you are planning any trips out east let me know, we punch above our weight in craft beer IMO.
