OT: What are you Watching/Listening/Drinking?

Wheel of time is getting animated.

One of the studio heads was involved with the snow Arcane on Netflix, which is actually really well done as a series.

Anything is probably better than what Rafe Shitkins poured out in the Amazon series.
 
Cautiously optimistic. Live action was always going to be difficult and Rafe massacred the source material so it's hard to get worse than what we were given.

iwot is a deeply unserious organization though and they're involved, so maybe leaning a bit more towards the cautious side here.
 
To me, it's just a beat that repeats over and over, adding layers over it. I used to do that with a Casio keyboard back in the day. It does sound cool, though. 👏

I’m not a music expert, but comments I’ve read are:

1) They are technically very tight. Much appreciation for the drummer.
2) The guy playing the double neck is keeping the loop in synch perfectly to deliver a super tight sound.

They're pretty tight - you can set your clock to that drummer. There's a section where they seem to be working a combined duple/triple riff, and then I totally lose ability to count the meter - definitely not a bad thing, and it's cool as fuck how they introduce radical syncopated pauses to sort of break shit up so you don't get bored of the repeat loop rhythm. . .without losing the tonalties of the loop. I  like 'em! 🤩
