OT World Cup

There will be shithousing for sure. They’ll do everything they can to disrupt the Spanish metronome.

Simeone spent the whole first half winding up England. Especially Bellingham.

Seriously though, I think the two best teams made to the final. They are the best at bossing the ball all over the field. Maybe France and England are better athletically, but that doesn't always translate into wins. Besides its the first time we have seen this matchup in a final, and only once before, so its going to be interesting.

I thought this was England's best chance at winning a WC....they had their most balanced team of the last 40-50 years. Their window is now probably closed.

Same for Argentina since this is Messi's last WC.

Spain and France still have years of dominance ahead....

Zidane will need to rethink France’s system

Edmonton Oilers hockey doesn’t win championships…you need some kind of defense

They gave up only 2 goals before the semi-final....

it's a very diluted WC....top teams mesure their worth against other top teams. If France wants to win in the future, it needs to find a way to beat Spain's scheme (which will remain the same for many years, since a lot of their players are still young)

Spain were eternal chokers until 2008.

But if they win on Sunday, it’ll be their 5th major trophy since then.

So, maybe hope for England?

Probably not. 🏴‍☠️

France needs a proper midfield. Rabiot, who I don’t rate, and Tchouaméni were too few and chasing shadows. Asking one of the front four to track back is pointless, their attempted 4-4-1-1 became a reckless 4-2-4. Doué was MIA on Spain’s 2nd goal.

thanks Captain Obvious re figuring out Spain, but the weakness of France's defence is overblown, sure they aren't Thuram and Desailly or Varane and Umtiti but Kounde and Saliba are decent enough. Left back was a problem and I would have played Theo Hernandez over Digne and he would not have allowed Yamal to own him, or if he fouled him like on the penalty, he would have broken Yamal's leg or made him a eunuch.
