Not to throw too much cold water on hopes and dreams, but Farage chose this riding carefully, much like Poilievre did when he needed a safe path back into parliament.

He won it with 46.2% of the vote in 2024, and even so the British Conservatives still managed 27.9% of the remaining voters.

It’s an extremely Conservative, extremely white & extremely anti-immigrant riding that will almost certainly vote Farage back in. But along the way it’ll be fun to watch him debase himself running against (and likely being out-debated by) a talking trash bin.

Another coastal town in England that got crushed by Spanish tourism. It is considered “economically deprived”, populated largely by olds and low-income households who live in what were previously tourist houses.
