OT: World Politics

Or a prelude to mobilization.

Or to yet another call for a “cease-fire” where the conflict is frozen along the imaginary lines Russia drew when it annexed large swathes of Ukrainian territory on paper?

And where once again both Russia and the US insist this is a reasonable “compromise” and basis for peace, and that Ukraine is being intransigent by refusing to agree?

Could be this for the 4th or 5th time too, yeah. But the US has no levers with Ukraine now. They provide dick or next to dick for aid and more importantly, the Ukie constitution does not allow Zelensky to sign a deal that gives up Ukrainian territory. Territorial integrity is right in their constitution.

The Ukies will be entirely fine with putting Putin in a position where he has to push all of his chips into the middle. There's no interest in that type of a deal, or a ceasefire on that basis.
