There's no money in that fight because nobody cares about Leon Edwards.

Masvidal - Colby, Masvidal - Nate/Nick Diaz, those would make some money.

It's not that he did it, it's how.

I would have picked a 5 round decision as by far most likely...but taking the back of the bjj guy and choking him out, might not have made my top 10 most likely ways this one ends.
 
Also, him not being a complete asshole in interviews etc. Just a guy you root for in his style and personality. Very happy about the new champ!

Both of them seem about as nice & geniune a person as you're going to run into in an industry where you make your money handing out brain damage
 
But like he comes off like even nicer than GSP/Thompson - he will prob go down as the nicest champ out of the ring in our lifetime. Beyond humble
 
My question going into this is have we seen peak Izzy? Was peak Izzy against Paolo? Was losing to Jan the beginning of his decline?

Because all things being equal, the guy we saw beat on the the division should merk Vettori.

Also, one of the Izzy's training partners died recently after getting sucker punched in a bar in New Zealand, some people channel that better than others.
 
I figured they set this fight up to help izzy get that confidence back and propel him to make sure he stays a star.

UFC is opening themselves up to a terrible champ (good for Italy…I guess…not a big enough market for ufc to care…but just a meat hesd) if izzy let’s himself get wrestled to a loss.

only good news would be usman would go after the title (believe he said that) - ufc is gonna start promoting him hard as PFP best and that would help his image with fans
