Poirier v Conor
- When was the last time we saw a version of Conor that looked like world championship material? Against Eddie in 2016....that's a long, long ass time ago. The last 2 top fighters he took on smashed him relatively easily with minimal fuss.
Wonderboy v Burns
- I don't even know if I believe this, but I'm entirely on Team "Wonderboy deserves another title shot". We find out if Burns is actually a savage and future title contender or a product of light competition (Gunnar, Maia, & the corpse of the Woodley isn't exactly the toughest road to a title shot...) on his way to a flash knockdown and then getting fucking dominated by Usman.
Tuivasa v Hardy
- I almost want to check to see if Hardy is on the last fight of his deal or something. This feels a lot like Dana giving him one more shot to creep into the rankings picture before cutting him.
Kunitskaya v Aldana
- I honestly don't care. There are women's fighters that I have grown to enjoy watching(Rose, Wei li, Nunes, Shev, Andrade) but there is nothing compelling about "can we build a bit of heat so that Nunes might sell a few dozen PPV's the next time she beats the brakes off of someone". The answer is probably no.
Sugar Sean v Boxcar Willy
- Until further notice Sugar will be known as Sugar Sean Venom Page'Malley. He's a can smasher for now. A can smasher who looked like a ranked fighter against Vera until he broke (again), but a can smasher. This fight changes none of that. Still only 26 so lots of time to prove himself, but I remember when Mike Perry was 11-1, young and supposed to take over before losing to everything resembling a ranked fighter put in front of him.
