I still have hope for him. I think it was a major adjustment, especially since he was playing a style in Montreal that he did not train for. ANH wanted him to bulk up and the transition to Montreal took a while.

It will be interesting to see how he starts next year after an offseason of conditioning.

As an FYI, players on unconditional waivers can still be traded over next 24 hours before they pass through and get bought out...

I very much doubt that for Richards but you never know with Fistric and Parenteau...

So do I, but I don't buy that ANH wanted him out of shape. I question his character -- he celebrated on Twitter when ANH was eliminated.

That doesn't bug me that much. He should have a chip on his shoulder. He his also still only 23. It's all fixable at this point.
 
The thing with Beleskey is, if you sign him you had better hope he's the 20 goal player that he was in Anaheim.

If he isn't... Well, lol, we're gonna have the most expensive third & fourth line in hockey.
 
Well, with shootouts appearing to be less likely , PA shouldnt be surprised. Too bad he didnt convert on more of his chances in the series against Tampa, maybe he would still be here.
 
Just sucks no one wanted him even at 50%, now will cost $1.3 or something like that on next years cap as well.
Maybe would of better to just stick him in pressbox for the year?
 
This is turning into a pointless media wankfest, as expected. Parenteau is not an NHL player, plain and simple. Moving on...
