Resilient we are.
Canes have great depth at the center position.
We've been dominating the face-off circle, hence can Dano-Evans balance out Staal in key moments.
Canes have 4 lines that can roll, but so do we, and our top 2 lines haven't even started playing yet. I'm expecting Cole and Demi to put their stamp in round 3.

We can take them...we might not outshoot them....we might be tired at the end of Game 1.....but as long as we score 1 more goal than them each game.

The Canadiens thrive on playing through chaos - they're the best in the NHL at that. Unfortunately Carolina does not let games reach chaotic levels. Our PP will have to be VERY productive.

Counterpoint: structured play can be analyzed and adjustment made far more easily. Carolina plays structured.
 
Habs get a little more offense from the D than the Canes, that might be the only advantage. Must get Freddy off the rails, he is fragile.
 
I think the Canes’ game will bring life back to the first line. Should be a good series. If we lose we lose, the boys took a huge step with two game 7 wins against higher ranked teams.

Of course I’d prefer to keep going but like someone has said, we’re playing with house money at this point.

If we make the Cup final, it won't be "house money" at that point. There's no assurance we'll get back any time soon after no matter how good we become, especially given hockey's randomness.

exactly, while I likely will be choked if we lose, it will have been a successful playoff
 
depends how we lose....it we get swept in 4 decisive games, I'm not sure anyone is gonna feel good

Excellent cap shape with players outperforming their salary

Great regime and development team

Team has a solid runway for being in the contending mix for years with some reinforecements
