Playoff GDT | Eastern Conference Finals | Game #3 | Monday - 5/25/26 8:00 PM EST (Canes vs Habs)

Maybe he's injured?
he has never been the same since that hit in game 4 of the Tampa series

I do think though our fan base is way too critical of individual players in individual games.

I saw one asshole on X call Hutson mentally ridiculous after the bad pass, Matheson gets torn to shreds on X, Dobson can't skate (only Xhekaj is treated like a cult hero).

FB is the same.

I believe our fan base is toxic after any loss

yeah...people expect perfection, robot like efficiency.

ie. Matheson is gonna make mistakes. He plays the toughest minutes against the other teams's best players. Those guys get paid $$$$$ to pressure Matheson into making mistakes. Deal with it.

Slaf had some bad shifts last night. He also had some good ones. He's still an unfinished product.

Yeah....these kids don't have 10 years of playoff experience....they are slowly building it. Canes are a challenge they never saw when facing Caps, Tampa, Sabres....just like Vegas will be a different challenge also. Gotta keep taking notes and learning from it. By Wednesday, i'm sure our forwards will find a way to adapt when they enter the O-zone.

It took Ovechkin-Backstrom years to finally make the finals and win...

Some fans are objectively hyper negative plus lack any consistency.

If Cole Caufield jukes a defender and scores with a perfectly placed shot between the goalie's glove and body, Cole is described as our elite goal scorer, the best we had in 35 years, a steal at 7.8M/yr

If Cole Caufield was on the other team, on the exact same play, fans are like "I'm so sick of Mike Matheson of getting beat and WTF is wrong with Dobes's glove. Fix it already!!"

I agree with that statement, do it myself, as its natural I think to curse out a player during the action when an error occurs. However, right now its a team thing I believe-they are playing passive hockey as a team, which is not how we got here. They just don't seem to have the energy, which is fatigue related no doubt. Its not an individual player thing.

Once we got into OT last night, and realizing the fatigue factor, I was willing to pretty much forgive any individual mental errors that might occur. I was especially willing to forgive Lane Hutson.

The only thing I didn't forgive right away was Suzuki missing the net by two feet in OT

Yeah, not sure missing the net is a fatigue thing. Maybe, part of lack of sharpness. Its the one thing we mortals were able to do occasionally when playing hockey (hit the net), so its particularly painful to watch.

I was choked when he made that pass but I also realize shit happens. No one feels worse than he does. He takes the blame which we all allegedly respect but use it against him.

Our lack of a good 6th dman means we had to overplay him, Dobson and Matheson. Fatigue makes cowards of us all

yeah Lane makes 20 amazing plays (that his teammates screw up and waste away), but then he makes 1 mistake in OT and some fans are all over him....

Suzuki missing on a breakway without even putting the puck on net is the biggest ''blunder'' in OT.....but i'm sure most of you knew he would miss, when was the last shootout he scored ? 2024 ? 2023 ?
