I saw it more as he was perhaps worn down and didn't want to take a possible hit. Either way, three late, needless icings by three different players. Its hard to take repeated hits all game long for some guys, and Tampa would say their strategy worked. We looked worn in the third. Anderson, on the other hand, had no issue with the style of play.

Habs had plenty of 5 on 5 opportunities … have to convert playoffs

This is why not making veteran deadline adds was the right approach - this is after all year 1 of roster evaluation & construction and this series is going to yield lots of meaningful data towards influencing those evaluations
