we don't shoot enough.....trying to set up the perfect play

There's a reason Dach's line has been scoring....they don't try to make the perfect play, they just shoot it and put it on net....Cole, Suzy, Slaf, Demi are trying to land the perfect shot, too much overthinking

tonight the pp created some looks at least...but yeah, ZERO FINISH. all year, Caufield had been scoring when there was barely any space to fit a puck...and now he's making scoring look difficult

They had their best chances of the whole series tonight.

That goal Cole scored in Game 4, standing in the crease.....that's how they could've have beaten Vasi tonight.....there's nobody there on the PP
 
Some takeaways from this disappointing loss:

1) Dobeš can roll with the likes of Vasilevskiý
2) Tampa realized that they had to put away the after whistle shenanigans, I expect more of a skill game in Tampa.
3) Habs still need more skill in the lineup. We have good players but they just can’t finish or create.
4) picks are allowed, they should use them but be subtle about it. Tampa has a phd in picks.
5) The Habs played very tentatively tonight, they need to play far more aggressively in Tampa.
6) Dobson as-is right now is far better than Xhekaj. If he can pass he can play. Doesn’t need to take shots.

I did not want game 7. The pressure alone plays in Tampa’s favor.
 
Demi shot the puck a lot...he didn't whiff on any attempts, so that was nice

Hutson almost scored in OT. Nice stop by Vasi who finally looked Vezina worthy.

Dobson is for sure playing sunday. Probably Hedman too though.

Habs have a 50, and two 30-goal scorers.....a 70-point dmen......

I think we have enough talent....it's just that said talent needs to convert.

Both Cole and Slaf are off....Cole looked much better tonight, which is a good sign going forward.

Slaf looked off all night, he let players pass by him in the d-zone, his passes on the PP were a bit off....hopefully he's not feeling symptoms of the hit and trying to play through it....

Tampa could have scored a half dozen on pp with any luck. They keep the pressure on the whole two minutes and fire away. We fart around, and spend a lot of time going back down to get the puck after fumbling it at the line. Playoff pressure, perhaps.

Watch Tampa's PP....they collapse on our players....are much close to our net.....

Watch our PP....Suzi and Demi are too far along the half circle near the board....need to move the puck more....

Not saying Tampa PP is better than ours, but their PP gave them better looks tonight
