I like that they seem to have a nasty streak this play off. Look how they get under the Flyers players skin just like the Panthers used to get under their skin.

I am cautially optimistic because of the opponents not being the best but so far it looks really good.

For you folks that have played the game; the number of sticks getting up high is crazy to me. Has it always existed and we’re just more aware now? Granted many of them aren’t egregious but the vast majority do involve some level of contact and it seems like they happen regularly.

When I was playing, about 100 years ago in the 60’s and 70’s(semi pro, not nhl), there was an unwritten rule to keep sticks below the waist. When a scrum started sticks and gloves to the ice. This came to and end when the euros comes over. They were masters with the sticks. Sticks to the ribs, sticks to the face, sticks everywhere. And what you see today is the result.
