PLAYOFF GDT: Series 1 / Game 1: @ Toronto, Thursday, May 20th 7:30EST

Also, I remember watching a replay of a video a couple years back where somebody was falling to the ice and then caught a knee to the face. It may have been a Hab. Does anyone remember this? This isn't the first time I've seen somebody get knocked out the way Tavares did. Awful, ugly injury. And it seems like I've seen it before.

Habs huge D needs to keep pounding the Leafs forwards. Every game. It will have a cumulative effect in the series.
Yup - Hyman took a beating last night, and he’s coming back from injury.

Sandin & Nylander were more & more reluctant to engage for the puck as the game progressed, including Nylander’s puck over the glass because he felt rushed due to incoming pressure by Habs forwards

Faceoffs played a key role: every Hab who took a faceoff was 50% or better except Suzuki @ 48%. Faceoffs are a key for Leafs to help feed their possession game.

Losing Evans speed and faceoff performance will hurt Habs in game 2 (should he not play).

??
It was a 2-1 game with 10 minutes left against a high scoring team. Go for the throat. But even, if you’re suggesting, play it safe- you have to 2 slow D, with not great puck skills handling the puck at the blue line and shooting into shin pads
there is also a reason they put petry and weber out on the first wave

the habs were taking no chances but having only 1 D on the ice

Felino is a turd. I hope Perry does the same to Matthew's next. **** him
Not cool man. Hockey is great but life is greater. Let’s push buttons but have some reasonable ground rules. You know, like not wishing death on the opponent?

Does this apply to LoF? Or just stinky?

Other than Islanders fans, no one hates Tavares enough to want to see him injured. Not like Marchand, for who, death is too good for him. 😎 Just hit Matthew’s, Marner, etc. enough that they are ineffective and the Habs are good to go......to the second round.

I don't mean death.

I was exaggerating.

By take out I ment hit him.

Also. I got cross for being called out about urging the Habs to keep hitting.

Its their strategy, the game plan.

Even though Tavares was injured, the game still gets played. Habs were playing well. They were playing with an edge.

Backing off would have perhaps been a good sport thing to do.

And this isn't house league atom.

It could have been a dangerous play for Perry too, a serious knee injury. No way he was looking for contact.
