PLAYOFF GDT: Series 1 / Game 3: VS Toronto, Monday, May 24th, 7:00EST

held the leafs to 2 goals per game

that is a big win for MB
Sure. Giving Carey some fucking goal support would be nice. Always got hear how carey sucked and let this in or that on but never hear from the haters when he stands on his head to keep them in a game and their pop-gun offense fizzles.

PLAY THE YOUNG GUYS

THE YOUNG GUYS SUCK!
I don't blame HabsFans one bit for being harsh on KK.

I do, however, 100% blame this organization for fucking it all up with him.

KK's been in the league for 3 years now and people aren't willing to wait forever to see him become good. At the annoyance of being repetitive, but...

The NHL is not a developmental league.

Nobody's as hard on Romanov because, despite being the same age +/- as KK, he was developping away from the team so there weren't eyeballs on him when he was 18 or 19. KK's improvements, or noticeable lack thereof, has been in front for everyone to see.

And yes, I'll grant you that expectations are different based on where they were drafted. But once the player's been drafted, that shit doesn't matter anymore.

true

also you were right about the oilers - lol

KK's size and agility (yes he's got good stickhandling skills, but we rarely had the chance to see it) will guarantee him an NHL career...
The problem with KK is that most NHL coaches will lose patience with him (just like Julien and DD lost patience), and that means he won't be allowed to work through his rough patches.

As GGpX said, this is not a developmental league, and KK has been mishandled big time, and just for that Bergy should lose his job (forget all the rest of the 9 years).

You cannot feed us media crap about building through the draft, and then screw up KK's draft (either by rushing KK into NHL, or by not drafting the BPA).

all three and that same time...no

it rotates between 14 and 15

at least some are starting to realize gally, toffoli, tatar, etc are a problem

Tatar and Danault are gonzo.
Gallagher... it will end in tears.
Toffoli, I don’t know what to make of it.

Bonus:
Weber will retire after next season, his last year making big moullah.
Price will continue on.

The unfortunate reliance on promising kids is due to a near lost decade of drafting and the absence of truly good middle aged players. We’re dependent a last-contract relics with knee braces and kids who are barely out of their teens.

However Evans is 24 and was thoroughly developed. Unlike KK. I trust Evans when he’s on the ice.

I think Toffoli has been fine. He is what he is. will go 3 straight games without a goal and then pot a couple over the next three

Hard to say. He was barely moving under his own power at the of the season and it’s carried over. But he seems to be streaky.

I don’t think the Habs are in any different position in this series w Tkachuk in the lineup....maybe w Hughes (as far as the PP goes) but that could be negated w DZone...I have no way of knowing. Bottom line there was no elite talent Habs missed out on in place of KK

LOL, he should not lose his job just for that. Don't get me wrong, he definitely should lose his job but the reasons are cumulative . . . and end with a singular conclusion: MB does not know how to build a Cup contending team.
