PLAYOFF GDT: Series 1 / Game 3: VS Toronto, Monday, May 24th, 7:00EST

Last I saw of Gainey, he was selling some of his memorabilia for charity prior to Covid. No idea what he's been up since.

He looked like aged a lot.

Bergy will probably become the President of hockey operation, and Molson will find another title for himself.

Lapointe or Bouchard will be promoted to GM and coach.....

And the wheel keeps turning

I'm not sure why people are ripping on Toffoli. He played out of his mind this season, but we're seeing the law of averages before our very eyes. He's a 25 goal scorer

This team desperately needs a new:
- Scouting staff and head scout
- GM
- Bench coaching staff

So, nothing major, just basically everyone who works in a front office position needs to be replaced.

because on a team with limited goal scorers we need him to do something

Supposedly for every game Gainey watches, he writes pages of meticulous notes, then hands them over to management. I think he helps out with the Petes too.

I don't blame HabsFans one bit for being harsh on KK.

I do, however, 100% blame this organization for fucking it all up with him.

KK's been in the league for 3 years now and people aren't willing to wait forever to see him become good. At the annoyance of being repetitive, but...

The NHL is not a developmental league.

Nobody's as hard on Romanov because, despite being the same age +/- as KK, he was developping away from the team so there weren't eyeballs on him when he was 18 or 19. KK's improvements, or noticeable lack thereof, has been in front for everyone to see.

And yes, I'll grant you that expectations are different based on where they were drafted. But once the player's been drafted, that shit doesn't matter anymore.
Last time KK was in the AHL he had 1 goal and 12 assists in 13 games. That shouldn't have been good enough, he should have been forced to focus on scoring goals, driving to the net on every shift. Shooting the puck with authority, not standing on one leg like a flamingo.

You know how you can tell KK's confidence is shot?

Go read the comments from training camp about KK's shot. Everyone was absolutely raving about it and how good it was.

But watching him in games, you'd never know it. He looks like someone who's so damn scared to shoot, almost like he knows that it's pointless.

Hell of a job we did with KK. A hell of a fucking job.

NHL always adjusts to players, it’s up to the player re-adjust. He never had a quick release, and that release hasn’t got any quicker and teams adjust to limit time & space

And that's the thing. How does a player adjust to something when the skills have stagnated and his confidence is shot?
