Not bias at all, I did watch all their games in the playoffs, I still think you are wrong on this one.. you don't have a run of 16 - 4 with a weak defensive system.. Connor McDavid finished with a minus 4 against them, every other round he was a plus by a large margin,, They shut them out .. They were good against St Louis,, alot of so call pundits on here did not think that they would beat the Blues.. I just disagree with you ..

Exactly. A lot of things went right for us in both 86 and 93 that were completely out of our control.

1986:
- If the Nordiques don't lose to the Whalers in the first round, we play Quebec (who beat us the year before) instead of Hartford in Round 2.
- If Mike Smith doesn't put the puck into his own net against the Flames, the Oilers probably wind up in the finals again and destroy the Habs.
- If the Flyers (who went to the finals in 85 and again in 87) don't stub their toe in the Patrick Division, the Habs play them instead of the upstart Rangers in the Wales Conference Finals.

1993:
- If Boston doesn't lose to Buffalo in Round 1.
- If Pittsburgh doesn't lose to the Isles in Round 2.

I get your point (no pun intended ) but the Avs had injuries too. Kadri couldn't even tie his own skates.
