Pre-Series Thread ... Canes vs Devils, Round 1

You can't predict our goal tending and ability to score more than 2 this time of year. Short of all 4 lines contributing above average in all series. Our ceiling should be the 2nd round but we could definitely beat Habs or Caps.

But as I type this the east is really wide open. We can compete with Toronto and a banged up Panthers. Lightning is a bad match up. But heck Ottawa even has a chance.
 
Can't say that I trust the Hurricanes goaltending that much right now. Those two are definitely the weak link. Unless something changed and Kooch magically gained some better judgement and confidence, he's the joker in our deck and not in a good way. Andersen hasn't looked all that dominant recently and Carolina is exactly one injury to Freddie away from being cooked. I want them both to play great and shut me up. We see their flashes of brilliance, though they also show signs of pissing on their own shoes.

He and Palat have bounced back and forth since Hughes went down. Noesen gives them a bit more scoring than Palat, but they will probably shift around during games as well depending on circumstances.

Looks like Dougie is ready to go, but they're not messing with the Hughes/Pesce pairing that has worked out well for them lately.
