Some people had an issue with his style of play, which, although they would say otherwise, probably stemmed from the fact he had been a huge part of our Cup win in 86. He was a huge, huge playoff performer, Cups followed him around. For that alone, I have argued he is should be in the Hall of Fame. But the Toronto-centred media etc. would never consider it of course.

One of my all time favourites. R.I.P.

I’d take a player like him on my team any day. Would do anything to win.

He was a nasty player, but 3 teams found that type of player useful in winning a cup.

This is really shocking, given that he was on TV just days ago.

Dealing with the fallout of middle-age men, taking their lives either by being a counsellor of their daughters or their wives or their mothers, and actually losing a couple of men myself is what drove me from the practice. Moreover, the labelling of traditional masculinity is toxic, and the notion that gender and human behaviour is a social construct and not determine largely by aspects of our biology is a toxin a contagion that is overwhelming, the therapeutic practice such that I could no longer be present in this world I started leaving four years ago and now I’m finally free, but this news just reminds me of how our culture doesn’t support men who represent 75% of all suicides and instead vilifies them for being toxic or aggressive. We can’t blame the victim unless the victim is a dude.
