Round 1: Leafs @ Bruins

It really drives me nuts the struggles of other teams are ignored. And the Leafs struggles record-wise largely come from the backup goalie who will not play.

TSN and Sportsnet are having deepthroat contests over the Jets chances right now and look at their record, both overall and recently.

Unless one goaltender goes on a tear this will be another 7 game series, and hopefully the Leafs have the lead again in game 7 (like they did last year) and close it out this year (which they have done all year). Also a lot of people seem to forget the Bruins were up 3-1 last year, lost two straight and were losing going into the third. This Leafs team is much better and like I said, have shown the ability all year to close games out when having the lead going into the 3rd.

they've got a helluva choice to make in net.

rask has been turrible down the stretch.

.883 since the start of march. .912 on the season.

Also, this series will say a lot about Matthews.

If his balls drop and he actually shows up against Boston (Bergeron specifically), than we may have a fighter's chance. We need him to dominate a game or two and maybe help revive an anemic PP that has to be better than it was in the regular season.

Leafs will need tavares, Matthew's and marner to be their very best.
Anderson will have to be mid season Anderson, and reilly will have to play 30 minutes a game.
Maybe, then the leafs will have a chance.
I think the leafs should make a line of Marleau, kadri and brown to shit down the Bergeron line .... their only and sole purpose is to keep them off the scoreboard.

Leafs are gonna sweep the bruins. This is the year.

It is rather odd that the Bruins can squeak out a win last year, Leafs add Tavares, and there's now such a supposed massive difference in the teams.

Looks like it's all hands on deck for the Leafs. Everybody (including Gardiner, Dermott & Muzzin) are at Leaf practice and appear to be healthy.

And Holl & Ozhiganov have been separated from the main practice group, so looks like Rosen & Marincin will be the first extra D Babcock goes to if needed in this series.

And It's not even like the Bruins are playing well. 7-7-0 in their last 14, Rask with an .883sv% down the stretch.
