This means that the Sabres may have the best shot at him. Their first will be top 5 and if they throw in say Hodgson I think Chicago bites.

Chicago have many options still. I don't see them trading Kane. They would try to get dump the salaries of Hossa, Sharp, Crawford, Seabrook, Bickell before that. Both Toews and Kane are already making $6.3M. Let's say they bump to $8M, they just need to free up $3.4M, which they'll get simply by cap increase. Chicago will be fine.
