Out of curiousity, who do think we would have to give up for Kane, because I don't even know where to begin?

There's almost no way it happens but it would have to be a big price. Plekanec, Gallagher and Beaulieu... probably not enough.

I don't even think then to be honest. Chicago is going to be in cap hell soon and for a long time. I think the only realistic way of getting Kane would be at the draft and with a high draft pick. This means that the Sabres may have the best shot at him. Their first will be top 5 and if they throw in say Hodgson I think Chicago bites.

Yeah, and that's the thing, to get a guy like Kane you would probably destroy the core of your team. Still nice to fantasize about though...

Hodgson and their 1st would be a very strong offer.

Actually that might do it.

Chicago have many options still. I don't see them trading Kane. They would try to get dump the salaries of Hossa, Sharp, Crawford, Seabrook, Bickell before that. Both Toews and Kane are already making $6.3M. Let's say they bump to $8M, they just need to free up $3.4M, which they'll get simply by cap increase. Chicago will be fine.

Yup. Kane isn't going anywhere.
