Sens Fans

Let's face it, our Sens have a lot of work to do over the next number of years, Number one in my book it to get a new owner as Eugene is holding this team back with the lack of investment and attention!

I just want to encourage you a bit. I'm a Hurricanes fan and have been a season ticket holder since they moved from Hartford in 1997. Our old owner, Peter Karmanos, basically went broke about 5 years before eventually selling the team in 2018 and during that time the team was just dead in the water from lack of investment. But once Tom Dundon bought the team and brought in a fresh, energetic (and fairly eccentric) approach to leadership along with fresh funds, the Hurricanes exploded into relevance in fairly short order.

Hang in there. Melnyk won't last forever and hopefully the next owner can turn things around quickly.
 
Reading the threads about the move downtown and the "Murray Myth" highlights how much the collective regard for Melynk had gone down hill in the last 3 to 4 years. At this point I think we are at the beginning of a decade similar to what Edmonton and Buffalo have each just experienced. I've completely come to terms with the fact that nothing good is going to happen to the Senator Franchise until Melynk sells. Once that is settled figuring out the arena situation is next. Many are fans of a move downtown however I don't think the location is as bad as many make it sound like. But with the rest of the league investing in their building (see Philadelphia, Montreal, Boston) whoever buys the team will have to think long and hard about what sort of up keep will go into the CTC. In a nutshell we are back to watching what happens off the ice.

it’ll suck for me if you guys get Lafreniere though. Fair warning.
