Not to get too far ahead but i think next season is the coming out party for Matthews and co. I think he pushes 100pts and gets into the Hart race.

the upshot is, I don't see a scenario in which we offer Leo a contract this summer. He's done, and I'd be surprised if Dubas wasn't given more or less free reign on free agency this year. He already handles the pro scouting.

Leo is the anti-Dubas player at this point in his career.

Next year? Nah

Kappy and Johnsson were way more advanced at the beginning of this season than either of those two will be at the beginning of next and needed to prove themselves for extended periods in the AHL before getting a shot.

Dubas will find Babcock a gud pro for depth, 100%. It will just be a gud pro that isn't horrific statistically like Leo has been.

We have tons of wingers ready to go, it's centre that will be the big off season test. I don't think they're too horny about moving Willy over yet.
