to be honest sports is probably what really got twitter flying in the first place.

a sizeable sports migration would be pretty huge for bluesky. as soon as there's collective real active live sports following on bluesky that might be the biggest turning point.
 
I’ve noticed more of a migration in the American based accounts I follow than international. Hopefully the rest of the world takes the hint
 
And remember WHY we should hope for bluesky to work - it's built specifically to keep the algos under your control.

 
I just logged in to my Twitter account and it is pretty quiet, just the regular bot feeds (vox, ap, sportsnet, etc) and Jake Tapper are posting, everyone else seems to be on Bluesky - except for the Hockey insiders, who I think will move over soon.
 
if you do a twitter search on bluesky and click on latest you can get a sense of how many people are signing on to bluesky. it's a lot.
