I feel bad for the kid, cause they're just a kid.
I don't feel particularly badly for the woman who decided to have Elon's babies though.
I've seen a few different AI type models/applications for use by legal professionals, but I've yet to find one that actually represents any time saving or efficiency. My question there though is: What's the business case?
Yeah, it's can summarize stuff, do an okay job at writing basic documents, do basic research (again, as long as you don't mind double checking every citation to make sure it didn't invent them...which is common), etc. But how much would you, or anyone pay for that? The investment into this stuff is going to hit the ~500 Billion mark pretty soon, and 1 Trillion dollars has been thrown around as what is going to be required before whatever this is becomes mature enough for whatever they think it's going to be able to do in the future.
OpenAI released a benchmark score last year called "SimpleQA" which was meant to help them determine their models accuracy in what it's saying. Their o1 model, which at the time was their top model, was accurate 42.7% of the time in it's statements. lol. It's all marketing mate, this shit is useless for anything important. The answer from the industry has always been more compute power and more advanced models, but none of it is fixing the core issue. At this point it's mostly big tech unwilling to admit a sunk cost, so they're going to jam it into as much of our lives as possible to try to force a return on investment. It's enshittification squared.

Nothing? Miserable cunts
yeah these fucking nerds HATE spilling their iptv secrets for some reason. fucking jerks.
I've had ApolloTV for a couple years now and for the limited amount I watch TV, it's pretty solid. I use a Apple TV 4K and it's much better than the Firestick 4K I used at the beginning. But yeah the guide is pretty much useless. I just favourited the sports channels I use regularly and the VOD is pretty good for the 4-5 shows I actually watch so I'm happy with it. And considering I split it with 4 other people for like $5 / month. it's hard to complain.I used ApolloTV for 6 months, found it to be okay but just okay and when it lapsed built a media server. The only thing I miss is a more elegant Leafs and Raptors solution, but given the fact that the Leafs are boring to watch and I kind of don't care to watch games beginning to end until the playoffs now given the poor return on time investment over the last bunch of years, and my Raptors tanking....meh
So I said all of that to say that ApolloTV was fine. The guide didn't really work, which was probably my biggest complaint (other than not knowing which channels worked and navigation sucking). But I'm not sure if that was because I was running it on a firestick, and running it on a Shield would be better.
