Nah, I'm assuming that they're going to start delivering ads in the subtweets of blue checked posters and they will get a cut of that as a content creator
it's a ponzi scheme in terms of getting twitter blue nerds to convince other nerds to fork over $8 in the hope they go viral with a Musk comment

Just had a look at what features come with “Twitter Blue”, and pretty much the only tangible thing aside from a blue check mark emoji beside your username is that you get 50% less ads than normal users.

So you pay $15/month and they still put ads on your timeline? Pretty hilarious.

But you get to own the libs, so it's worth it.

I can't repeat enough times that if you just use tweetdeck in a browser you never get any ads ever.

wait when did it go up to $15/month, I thought it was $8?

I dunno? But if you click on the “Twitter Blue” tab in the Twitter app, it definitely says $15/month. And that’s even billed as a “limited time offer”, which implies they’re planning to raise it:

…and another LOL—just noticed now that the “50% fewer ads” feature is billed as “coming soon”. So they haven’t even figured out how to deliver that one somewhat useful feature of the subscription.

I think it's because of how they charge extra when you subscribe through the app than when you subscribe on the website. And then 15 is presumably the CAD price.
