Tigard's sorta-kinda in Portland's backyard. Oregon's an "interesting" state, sometimes. Just driving straight through, it's gorgeous and can seem sort of unassuming when you stop off for gas, plus some well known universities and colleges are legit educational powerhouses (e.g., Ducks, Beavers). Then shit like this happens, granted for good reason, but then you think back to Grants Pass getting Supreme Court approval to ban homeless from sleeping outdoors (even if no shelter available), and you wonder if you should maybe take some more investigative looks around. Only been in eastern Oregon once. Pro tip: Ain't never goin' back.
